Our core service is creating high quality Easy Read information – using clear and simple language, short sentences, supporting images and accessible design.

How we work:
- We simplify your text – We follow agreed Easy Read standards to rewrite your content and work with you to get the information just right.
- We design for accessibility – Our layouts use larger fonts, plenty of white space, and a professional, easy to read format.
- We add supporting images – Carefully chosen from Photosymbols and other image libraries.
- We deliver a ready-to-use document – Professional high quality, screen-reader-friendly PDFs for print and online use.

Training – Run by our training team at Learning Disability Wales, teaching your team how to create Easy Read and accessible content.

Plain Language documents
Plain Language is clear, concise and accessible language suitable for a wide audience. It often uses familiar, conversational language and a friendly, direct tone of voice.
Here is an example of one of our Plain Language documents
Around 15% to 20% of adults in the UK have a literacy level at or below Level 1 (equivalent to a GCSE level of education).
But a lot of our formal public information is written at around a Level 6 or above (equivalent to a degree or master’s level of education).
Plain Language is a good standard to aim for when writing for a general public audience.
